Live Show Information
WHAT IS IT?
Entertaining! Educational! Engaging! Aussie Kids Rock is a compelling musical performance for students from P-6. Featuring a live three piece rock band, this fun filled show is fully interactive and is based on the VELS. We aim to inspire children in their love of music!
HIGHLIGHTS
- Students participate in every song through singing/dancing.
- Volunteers join us on stage to demonstrate actions, dances and improvisation.
- Students explore different genres of music including punk rock, jazz, reggae, disco and hip hop.
- Human Drum Kit - students explore note value, teamwork and group dynamics in this exciting audience activity.
- Students discover the basics of rock instruments and their role in a rock band.
- Through songs we explore themes of 'sun protection' and 'achieving your goals'.
SHOW OPTIONS
- Senior & Junior Show (<300) Two 1-hour shows (usually P-2 & 3-6).
- Triple Treat! (>300) Three 1-hour shows (usually P-2, 3/4, 5/6).

$5.00 per head
PREPARATION??
As little or as much as you want! We provide: demo CDs for every classroom, optional actions to learn including the Wilbur the Worm dance . We offer the Wilbur the Worm competition - a literacy activity where the winning verse is played at the show. We also offer a teachers resource book containing over 50 activities used for preparation /follow up (See 'Teacher Resources')
